New Topic!

Before I forget…I forgot to mention on the surprise twinkie cupcakes that you can easily make them with out the jam filling and frost with chocolate frosting. They would still be delicious, but they may not make the entire 36 cupcakes.

Okay, with that out of the way…we’re going to switch topics from the garden to kids. We’re in the dog days of summer and with just a few weeks left until they go back to school they (and you) are probably getting antsy and running out of ideas of things to do. Well sit back and relax! We’re going to talk about some really fun cooking ideas you can do with your kids in the kitchen. You know I like to multi-task, so this will not only be a great way to keep your kids entertained and having fun with you but it will also be a great way to teach them things in the kitchen and of course, getting them used to food storage. Some of the greatest lessons can be taught in the kitchen together but first we’ve got to get in the kitchen doing something fun.

Just found your blog and it looks great. Do you happen to have pictures of your food storage??

Do you keep inventory of your food storage? If so, what does it look like?

How do you like the taste of canned meats?
