Because I love you all (and since it’s Valentine’s week and all…) I made the Powdered Milk Conversion chart into a slick kitchen magnet along with NEW charts for Magic Mix and Powdered Eggs! Now making your favorite recipes food storage recipes is even EASIER! How you may ask, did this all come about? Well I was tired of my milk conversion chart falling off of the fridge, getting spilled on, and I wanted the convenience of the other two charts…so naturally I would share them with you! (Did I mention that they are a little bigger than the other charts…5.47″ x 4.21″ to be exact)

I did some research online and was able to find a GREAT deal for getting the charts printed on magnets (much more sturdy) AND they are vinyl so if you spill on them you simply wipe them off. Not to mention they will free up some magnets on your fridge for other things.

Because I was able to get such a great deal I wanted to pass the savings along to you! I was only able to get 500 sets (of 3 magnets each) so you’ll need to act quickly since I don’t know when I’ll be able to get these printed again and most likely they won’t be running the deal again for awhile.

It is for non-instant. All of the directions are on the magnet. There is a HUGE difference in the two milks. The milk you can buy at the grocery store is usually INSTANT powdered milk, while the milk from the cannery is NON-INSTANT. It’s like the difference between instant and non-instant rice. The instant powdered milk is lighter and fluffier and has more air in it (which is what makes it easier to mix). So, if you’re using INSTANT milk for any of the recipes on my site you’ll need to DOUBLE the amount of milk called for to make it the same. Thanks!

This must be for non-instant dry milk? I think I'm extra confused about the difference. My instant dry takes 1/3 cup mix to 1 cup of water. Can you share with us what about the non-instant makes it non-instant? Do you have to let it sit or something? It looks like your instructions just say to add it in there, so I'm really curious. Thanks!

Are you planning on adding these to your handout page? I would love just print out a copy of the powdered eggs and magic mix ones, if you are okay with that. (I like to just tape the powdered milk one you did to the canister I use and would like to do this with the others as well!)
