They are wonderful! I love them and haven't had success in a pot, but I'm hoping they will work in my dirt, afterall its probably a lot less fertile than potting soil! :) Did you grow those nasturtiums??? I'm going to do it in raised beds though - Mostly because I want nice weed free (and black rat snake free) rows to walk in between the plants. last year I had the spit scared out of me when there was a small snake in the walkway of my garden - it was scared too and went into the cukes - We didn't eat cukes unless my hubby picked them for the rest of the summer..... I’m doing the lasagna method – Just got the Lasagna gardening book from the library. I’m going to do it in raised beds though – Mostly because I want nice weed free (and black rat snake free) rows to walk in between the plants. last year I had the spit scared out of me when there was a small snake in the walkway of my garden – it was scared too and went into the cukes – We didn’t eat cukes unless my hubby picked them for the rest of the summer…..

I loved the concept and the wonderful boxes my Dh made, but I think we located the garden in the wrong part of the yard.
