I think that if your bread was too salty Julene, it’s possible you may have put in 1 tablespoon salt instead of 1 teaspoon? I found that I needed extra flour, kept adding more (almost double what the recipe said) till the mixture wasn’t so runny.

I made this tonight for dinner and it turned out really salty. I don’t know what I did wrong. It was kind of spongy, like there was too much liquid in the recipe. Maybe I needed more flour? IDK, Help!

Crystal which whole wheat flour did you use?? White whole wheat or brown/red whole wheat….does it make a difference?

LOL! Yes, he did like it. It is very moist and very delicious out of the oven with butter and honey. I think next time I try it I’m going to put in applesauce for the oil. My baby liked it so much that it was hard to take a picture with out her hand in it!
