Have you been Boo’d?-Fun Food Storage Recipes!

Have you been boo’d yet in your neighborhood? If you haven’t seen any cute ghosts up on your neighbors door, this is my FAVORITE fall tradition (well at least for Halloween ;) . Each year, I make the goal to be the first one out to Boo people but I’m always too late. So, hopefully I’m catching all of you in time and maybe I can live vicariously through you! If you don’t know what it means to be “Boo’d” it’s a fun tradition where you give a cute poem about Halloween along with a “boo” sign or ghost picture. The ghost picture hangs on the door of the receiver and the poem gives instructions about passing on the ghost and TREATS to others in the neighborhood. It’s so fun to drive around the neighborhood close to Halloween and see everyone’s BOO on the door. Once you get that printed out if you’re wondering what to do for a treat, I’ve got you covered too. I love doing a treat that is a little ghostly to match.

Cemetary Cupcakes
1 batch of cupcakes, which ever flavor you like! (follow instructions on the box, using powdered eggs and bean puree for the oil….that’s the scary ingredient, perfect for Halloween!)
Frosting for cupcakes
Coconut died green (for the grass…you could also use crumbled up cookies to make it look like dirt if you don’t have/like coconut)
Hershey’s Nuggets (for the tombstone)
Miniature Marshmallows (enough for 2 per cupcake-for the body)
Chocolate Chips (enough for 2 per cupcake-for the feet)
Bake cupcakes according to directions. When cooled, frost with frosting. Top with coconut or cookie crumbs. Place Hershey’s nugget in side edge of cupcake. Place two miniature cupcakes in the front of the nugget and two chocolate chips with the points facing the marshmallows to look like feet.
Isn’t it so cute? It looks like a little ghost coming up from the grave…I just love the chocolate chip feet. Anyway, if you don’t have the times and means for this decoration you can always frost them white and use two chocolate chips for the eyes and voila!  A ghost!  Have fun in all your ghostly booing!

    I can't seem to find it but how to you make the bean puree? Do you used beans that you have cooked with a certain amount of water or just the beans? What type of beans do you recommend using? Thanks!
