The good news is you don't have to like it or try it! If you like messy,
then stick with the open faced. I think they are fun appetizers and no, I
don't enjoy stain washing my laundry. I guess my OCD secret is OUT! ;)

Ok, now you know I love you Crystal and I've always got your back, but I just have to say no to this one. My favorite thing about chili dogs is that they ARE messy! It's the same with sloppy joes. Something about it being "acceptable" to make a mess while you eat, and then scooping up the chili that feel from the hotdog onto the plate with chips is so much fun. I will say that this seems like a great recipe for anyone who is OCD about messy foods, especially if they don't want their kids making a big mess. I'll give your recipe a try this week but I have a feeling that my clean fingers and dry plate will have me longing for a good open chili dog.
