Strawberry Syrup: Freeze Dried Berry Food Storage Recipes

And possibly, my favorite of all. Only because I LOVE fresh strawberries on vanilla ice cream and this is as close as I can get in the winter!

Strawberry Syrup
1 1/2 c. freeze dried strawberries
2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
1 T. lemon juice

Mix ingredients together in blender until smooth. Serve over pancakes, cheesecake, ice cream, angel food cake etc.

    Crystal,
I looked at the batter dispenser and was tempted until I read the review. It doesn't look like it is worth it. Keep up the good work! Your page is still my home page and I am always anxious to see what great ideas you have!

We are all out of Maple syrup so I just made this for dinner. We really loved it. It was great to be able and use our food storage fruit this way. Having this syrup for our pancakes I thought it was a little runny so I added a touch of Corn Starch to the syrup and after it was well blended I heated it. My husband thought that for pancakes it was a little tart, I have liquid clear stevia on hand so just a couple drops of that made it PERFECT.

I can't wait to try it on Icecream.

So if I wanted to make this using fresh or frozen berries, how would I go about this? Do I not use water or just decreace it?

You would not add the water and add in more berries. I used about .75 the
amount of berries the original recipe called for so you would also need to
    add in more berries.
